Students meet once a week, for 90-minutes for art education, or 60 minutes a week for language immersion, and embark on a journey of laughter, learning, and artistic awesomeness! We dive deep into the world of multi-process art, famous artists, cultures, language and self-expression! We're talking about Picasso meets Van Gogh meets a sprinkle of unicorn magic. 6-week term, 90 minutes: Designed to immerse your child in a world of creativity, imagination, and learning. Each term is structured to offer once-weekly, 90-minute sessions that allow students to deeply engage with a variety of art materials and themes. Whether your child is a budding artist or just loves to experiment with new ideas, our classes are the perfect blend of fun and focus! My classes don't just focus on art—they bring in elements of **literature**, **science**, **math**, and **history**. Whether it's studying ancient civilizations through pottery or learning geometry with art forms like tessellations, your child will learn how art connects with the world around them.

-Flexible Structure: I understand that each day brings different energy. Some days, we need to get the wiggles out through movement and play. Other days, we’re deeply focused and engaged. We adapt our structure based on your child's needs, keeping them active and inspired.

-Hands-On Exploration: students have the chance to experiment with different mediums from paints and pastels to clay, collage, and more, helping them find their artistic voice and develop their unique style.

-Creative Masterpieces: While 6 weeks offers ample time for creative play and exploration, it also ensures students have the opportunity to finish impressive masterpieces that they’ll be proud to bring home. Each class builds toward a larger project, so your child will see their progress unfold.

4-week term, 60 minutes: Each class meets once a week for 60 minutes providing a dynamic and sensory-rich class designed to introduce young artists to the wonderful world of process art. This class emphasizes the importance of the artistic journey rather than the final product, allowing students to fully explore their creativity without the pressure of producing a specific outcome. Through hands-on activities and open-ended projects, students are encouraged to experiment with a variety of materials, textures, and techniques.

- Creative Exploration: Students are free to explore a variety of art materials, such as paint, clay, paper, and natural elements, in a playful and experimental environment. This encourages independent thinking and fosters a love for creativity at an early age.

- Sensory Development: The focus on tactile experiences helps students develop their fine motor skills and enhance their sensory awareness. Activities like finger painting, texture exploration, and material manipulation engage the senses while promoting cognitive and emotional growth.

**Who Should Enroll: This class is perfect for young children in transitional kindergarten and kindergarten who love to explore, play, and create. It provides a nurturing environment where students can develop their sensory, motor, and creative skills in a fun and engaging way.

This program is designed with flexibility and depth, ensuring that students from 1st to 8th grade engage with age-appropriate, standards-aligned projects. All projects meet California and national VAPA standards, and I’ve created thoughtful lesson plans and assessments that tie in multiple subjects, including literature, history, science, and math. The curriculum is ever evolving to keep the experience fresh and engaging. I meet students where they are, ensuring the curriculum is tailored to their developmental level. Additionally, I often incorporate literary tie-ins with books that correspond to our projects. My middle school students especially love being read to, even from books aimed at younger audiences, which sparks meaningful discussions and creative insights—proving that art and literature are powerful companions in education.

This unique course offers a dynamic learning experience that blends Spanish language instruction with artistic expression, making language acquisition both practical and enjoyable.

- Engaging Spanish Curriculum: The language component of the course is designed to build vocabulary, grammar, conversation skills, and comprehension in a hands-on, interactive manner. Students learn Spanish through storytelling, cultural exploration, and interactive lessons that emphasize real-world communication skills.

- Project-Based Learning: Students will actively apply their language knowledge by participating in art projects that are tied to the cultural traditions of Spanish-speaking countries. From creating traditional crafts to exploring the works of famous Hispanic artists, students will use language and creativity to deepen their understanding of both art and Spanish.

- Cultural Immersion: Each lesson introduces students to the culture, history, and daily life of Spanish-speaking countries. By incorporating cultural elements into language learning, students develop a more holistic understanding of how language and culture are interconnected. They’ll explore everything from Guatemalan worry dolls to Mexican muralism, with each unit offering a rich artistic and linguistic exploration.

- Artistic Expression: Students will create various art projects, using a wide range of materials and techniques, inspired by the cultural and artistic heritage of the regions they study. Projects may include paper crafting, painting, textile arts, and sculpture, all tied to the country or tradition being studied in the language lessons.
